Limited Availability: Only 2 Units Remaining
LFP is no longer in active production. Two units remain in stock at Thompson Duke's Portland facility. New LFP orders cannot be guaranteed beyond remaining inventory. Operators considering the LFP should also evaluate the MFP (6.5T) for current-production availability.

§ 01 · What It Does

Pneumatic-only cartridge pressing.

The LFP is a pneumatic, electricity-free cartridge press calibrated for low-force applications, variable from 0.5 to 4 tons. Built to CSA Z142010 with a structural frame evaluated and stamped by a Registered Professional Structural Engineer using AISC ASD method. LFP is no longer in active production; two units remain available.

01

Pneumatic-Only Operation

No electricity required. Pneumatic-only operation simplifies install (no electrical rough-in) and removes a maintenance variable from the production environment.

02

Variable Force, 0.5–4 Tons

Full variable range across the calibrated 0.5–4 ton envelope. Operators dial in the force appropriate to the cartridge format and mouthpiece geometry.

03

CSA-Stamped Frame

Press structure frame evaluated and stamped by a Registered Professional Structural Engineer using AISC American Institute of Steel Construction ASD method. Built to CSA Code for Power Press Operation Z142010.

04

GMP-Compliant Materials

Materials and surfaces support GMP-compliant production workflows. One-year warranty with lifetime customer support.

§ 02 · Specifications

Press specs for the 4-ton LFP.

The LFP is a pneumatic-only press. Force range, pneumatic spec, and physical dimensions are the operative numbers for production planning. Restriction: does not press devices containing batteries.

MFP
Current-Production Press
The current-production press in the Thompson Duke lineup. 6.5-ton calibrated force, dual-channel safety, replaces the LFP. Standard recommendation when LFP inventory runs out.

Fill Step (Before Press)
The IZR fills cartridges that the LFP then presses for press-on mouthpieces. Standard line configuration pairs filling with pressing matched to production volume.

§ 06 · Technical Q&A

What operators ask before they buy.

Why is the LFP limited availability?
LFP production wound down as the MFP became Thompson Duke's standard cartridge press. Two LFP units remain in stock at the Portland facility; once those ship, LFP is no longer available. The MFP is the current-production successor.
Can I order more than two units?
No. Only the two remaining units are available. Operators needing larger quantities of pneumatic press capacity should evaluate the MFP, which is in active production.
Should I buy the LFP or the MFP?
If your cartridges and mouthpieces press cleanly under 4 tons and you value pneumatic-only operation (no electrical rough-in), the LFP is a fit while inventory remains. For denser devices, higher throughput, or any future scale-up scenario, the MFP (6.5T) is the right capital decision.
Will Thompson Duke resume LFP production?
Not currently planned. The MFP supersedes the LFP in the current lineup with the same pneumatic interface and a higher force envelope. If LFP demand justified resumption in the future, that would be a separate decision.
Limited Availability

Two LFP units remain.

If the LFP fits your operation, the fastest path to securing one is direct contact with sales. Once these units ship, the MFP becomes the standard recommendation for cartridge pressing.
