Thompson Duke Industrial designs, engineers, and manufactures purpose-built equipment for cannabis processors. A decade of OEM work, four certification regimes, more than four thousand customers across thirty-plus countries, and a single shop floor in Portland, Oregon where every machine is assembled and tested by the same team that designed it.
Thompson Duke Industrial was founded in 2015 to build the cartridge filling, infusion, pressing, and fastening equipment that the regulated cannabis market actually needed. We were one of the early purpose-built OEMs in the category. Today our installed base counts more than four thousand customers, the majority of whom contact us directly when they have a question, because there is no distributor chain to route through. The engineer who designs the machine is the engineer who picks up the phone.
Portland, Oregon. One shop floor. Ten years of continuous production refinement on the same product line.
Operators in regulated cannabis markets across North America, the European Union, and 30+ countries worldwide.
Five functional categories — filling, infusion, pressing, fastening, legacy support — with variants for North American and European regulatory environments.
No distributor chain. Quotes, sales, service, parts, and documentation come from the same team that builds the machines.
Our product line covers the regulated cannabis cartridge workflow end to end — from oil into the cartridge, through pressing the cap, through fastening the mouthpiece. Joint infusion sits alongside cartridge production for operators running both formats.
Automatic and semi-automatic filling for cartridges, pods, capsules, and jars. cETLus-certified North American variants and CE-certified European variants.
View Filling Machines →Industrial-scale infusion for pre-rolls and joints. Big JIM is the floor-standing solution; Little JIM is the SVH or MCF1 bolt-on for smaller volumes.
View Infusion Machines →Pneumatic presses for cartridge cap assembly. MFP (6.5T) is current production. LFP (4T) remains available in limited inventory.
View Pressing Machines →Purpose-built, benchtop mouthpiece fastening for screw-on mouthpieces.
View MPM →Every Thompson Duke machine is certified for its target market, not the lowest common denominator. North American machines carry cETLus or UL508 from Intertek. European variants carry CE marking with EU-GMP documentation. Pneumatic presses carry CSA Z142010. Where a standard does not yet apply, we say so plainly.
Our default North American electrical safety mark. Applied to filling machines (IZR, SVH) and fastening (MPM).
European Union conformity for IZRC and MCF2C filling machines. CE-compliant documentation package included.
Industrial control panel standard. Big JIM joint infusion is UL508-certified, North America only.
Pneumatic press safety standard. Applied to LFP and MFP. Pneumatic-only design; no electrical cert required.
Materials selection and workflow patterns engineered for Good Manufacturing Practice operations and audit readiness.
Patented cartridge-filling mechanism. Active patent enforcement.
Every machine is designed, engineered, assembled, and tested in our Portland, Oregon facility. The same team handles production runs, customer support, and field service coordination. From Portland, machines ship to operators in thirty-plus countries: California to Berlin to Tokyo. The customer who buys the machine is the customer we keep in touch with.
For solventless extract producers, we partner with Sample Automation in Northfield, NH on the Rosin Reactor — an automated decarboxylation system with real-time tracking and a companion calculator. It is their product, not ours, and we treat it that way. We surface the partnership because the workflow overlaps cleanly with the Thompson Duke cartridge line.
Manufacturer-direct contact, every inquiry routed through the Portland office.
