§ 01 · Where Things Stand

Legacy machine support has limits.

Legacy machine support and upgrade options may be limited by parts availability. Some components used on early ACF and Gen 1 IZR machines, including the table controllers used on those generations, are no longer obtainable through current supply channels. Contact Thompson Duke Industrial to review available support paths for your specific machine.

01

Parts Availability

Components used on early ACF and Gen 1 IZR machines may no longer be obtainable. Table controllers in particular are constrained. Specific availability depends on the part and the machine generation.

02

No Standard Upgrade Kit

There is no advertised, generally available retrofit kit. Any service or modification work is reviewed against the specific machine and current parts availability, not against a fixed-spec program.

03

Case-by-Case Review

Thompson Duke reviews legacy support requests individually based on machine condition, serial-level provenance, and what we can still source. We tell you honestly whether we can help.

04

Direct Contact

Pricing, scope, and timeline are determined per case. There's no fixed-price program. The fastest path to a real answer is a direct conversation with sales.

§ 02 · Information for Sales Review

What to have ready when you contact us.

There's no fixed retrofit spec because there's no fixed retrofit kit. When you contact sales about a legacy machine, having the information below ready makes the case review faster.

§ 03 · Certifications

Certification status is determined per case.

Any work performed on a legacy machine is documented individually. Whether the resulting machine carries current-generation certification depends on the scope of work. There is no blanket re-certification program tied to a kit.

No blanket post-service certification claim.
Documentation provided per the actual scope of work performed. Patent US 10,440,989 references the IZR; it does not transfer to legacy machines automatically.

§ 06 · Technical Q&A

What operators ask before they buy.

Can my ACF1 or Gen 1 IZR be upgraded to a current IZR?
Not as a generally available, fixed-spec retrofit. Some components used on those machine generations, including the table controllers, are no longer obtainable through current supply channels, so we cannot offer a standard upgrade kit in good conscience. If you have a specific machine you'd like reviewed, contact sales with your serial number and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Why is the upgrade no longer offered as a fixed-price program?
Required components, including the table controllers used on early ACF and Gen 1 IZR machines, are no longer obtainable through current supply channels. Without those components, a fixed-spec kit at a fixed price can't be advertised. Case-by-case work may still be possible depending on what we can source.
Can Thompson Duke still service my Gen 1 machine?
Yes, case by case. Some service paths are open; others depend on what we can source. Open a support ticket or contact sales with your serial number and current operating condition, and we'll tell you what we can do.
What if my machine can no longer be supported?
Contact sales directly to discuss replacement options against the current lineup. There is no automatic credit program advertised. Any trade-in or transition path is reviewed individually based on the specific machine and the current sales arrangement.
